Kanser hati seringkali tidak menunjukkan gejala atau tanda- tanda awal namun, terdapat simptom yang boleh dikaitkan dengan kanser jenis ini antaranya, rasa sakit dan ada ketulan pada di bahagian kanan perut, loya dan muntah-muntah serta keletihan dan hilang berat badan.

Statistik menunjukkan, terdapat kira-kira 48,639 penghidap kanser baharu dan 29,530 kematian akibat kanser dilaporkan pada tahun 2020.

Manakala data Registri Kanser Malaysia melaporkan sejumlah 168,822 kes kanser baru bagi tempoh 5 tahun bermula tahun 2017 hingga tahun 2021. Kanser payudara, diikuti kanser kolorektal, kanser paru-paru, kanser limfoma dan kanser hati merupakan lima (5) kanser dengan insiden tertinggi dilaporkan bagi tempoh yang sama.
