Kanser Paru-Paru

Kanser paru-paru merupakan salah satu penyebab utama kematian di Malaysia. Dalam kalangan lelaki kanser paru-paru menduduki tempat kedua, manakala, bagi wanita di tempat kelima. Sebanyak 2,948 kanser paru-paru telah dilaporkan pada tahun 2006 (1,445 dalam kalangan lelaki dan 603 dalam kalangan wanita).

Walaupun kadar hidup setelah didiagnosis dengan kanser paru-paru pada peringkat awal adalah 49% tetapi, hanya lebih kurang 2% sahaja penghidap kanser paru-paru yang telah merebak ke bahagian lain di dalam badan masih hidup setelah 5 tahun.

Kanser paru-paru tidak boleh dipandang remeh kerana penyakit ini mampu memusnahkan kehidupan orang-orang yang kita sayangi.

What is GERD? You may ask. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) is also known as acid reflux disease. It is a common digestive disorder that occurs when acidic stomach juice or food and fluids backflow from the stomach into the oesophagus. If you have any symptoms below, seek medical help right away.

Common GERD symptoms:
• Acid regurgitation
• Difficulty when swallowing
• Sudden excess of saliva
• Chronic sore throat
• Inflammation of the gums
• Chest pain or heartburn

Diabetes Malaysia, Penang Branch - Blue Circle November Campaign

In conjunction with World Diabetes Day 2020, Diabetes Malaysia (Penang Branch) and Penang Adventist Hospital jointly organized a month-long awareness campaign -- “Blue Circle November”, to raise diabetes awareness among the community. 

A series of activities were featured in this campaign which including #BlueCircleNovember Social Media Photo Contest, Diabetes Video Making Competition, Virtual Dance with Diabetes 2.0, Facebook Live Health Talks by doctors, and diabetes educators, and Diabetes Screening in the month of November.
