What Happens to Your Lungs When You Exercise?

Besides following the Ministry of Health’s SOP guidelines, maintaining or improving your lung health is one of the best defenses against Covid-19 infection. Keeping your lungs and immune system healthy helps to improve your body’s ability to fight off viral infection.

One who exercises regularly typically has a larger blood volume and better energy metabolism level than someone who leads a sedentary lifestyle. Increasing your airflow with physical activity improves the flow of oxygen in your bloodstream that then increases airflow to your lungs, heart, and muscles. Thirty minutes of moderate exercise five times per week is recommended to benefit lung health.
