Unlike other non-communicable diseases, cancer can travel. When a fraction of the tumor from the main site migrates to another area, which is known as metastatic cancer. This fraction of cancer cells will end at the next site before it takes root, proliferates, and forms tumors. Cancer can spread in one of these ways.
