Kidney Cancer Risk Factors

According to the Malaysian National Cancer Registry 2012-2016, men are 2 to 3 times more likely to develop kidney cancer than women. Between those years, 1,276 new kidney cancers were diagnosed in Malaysian men, compared to only 595 cases in Malaysian women.

Whilst it is not clear what causes most kidney cancers, knowing your risk factors, talking about them with your doctor, and taking steps to improve your health may help you lower your risk.
