In conjunction with World Diabetes Day 2020, the International Diabetes Federation has selected the theme ‘The Nurse & Diabetes’ to promote the role of nurses in the prevention and management of diabetes. Diabetes is a chronic condition that occurs when the pancreas can’t make insulin or the insulin doesn’t work properly to maintain healthy levels of glucose (sugar) in the blood.
